About Us
The Iowa Disability Policy Alliance (IDPA) is a statewide coalition of organizations, advocates, service providers, and individuals working together to advance public policies that support Iowans with disabilities and their families.
The Alliance brings together diverse partners from across the disability community to strengthen a shared voice at the Iowa Capitol and across the state. By coordinating policy priorities, sharing expertise, and elevating lived experiences, the coalition works to ensure that people with disabilities have the opportunity to live, work, play, and flourish in their communities.
IDPA focuses on policies that protect civil rights, strengthen home and community-based services, expand opportunities for employment and independence, and promote inclusive communities where every person is valued.
Through collaboration, research, and coordinated advocacy, the Iowa Disability Policy Alliance helps unify the disability community around common goals and ensures that policymakers hear directly from the people and organizations most impacted by their decisions.
